Scott Agnoli is a Creative Professional currently teaching Graphic Design, Color Theory, Typography, Adobe Creative Suite, History of Graphic Design, and Web Design at Seton Hall University and online at Southern New Hampshire University. His vision is to help others use graphic design tools to visually communicate more effectively and provide an appreciation and understanding of the graphic design profession.
Scott is a highly accomplished creative and marketing professional who serves various clients in graphic design and marketing. Operating out of his home office, ScottCre8ive clients range from college students to ex-professional athletes, retail establishments, and e-commerce clients. Scott has over thirty years of experience designing effective visual communications. Aside from working in multiple NYC agencies during his thirty years in the design business, Scott has built and managed award-winning advertising and marketing team for one of the largest regional banks headquartered in New Jersey. His experience in the financial sector included leading a complete re-branding of a 10 billion dollar bank, managing sponsorship relationships with Rutgers University, The New Jersey Devils, The New York Giants, and radio giant 660 WFAN in New York City. Additionally, he led the awareness and branding campaigns starring former NFL quarterbacks Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason as spokespeople through TV commercials, radio ads, and print media.
Before working in the banking industry, Scott worked with Popcorn Communications in New York City, servicing clients including Madame Alexander Doll Company, Dean & Deluca, FAO Schwarz, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Scott began his career at AGA Creative, a full-service creative and direct marketing agency. He directly worked with a substantial list of clients for over a decade—some of the higher-profile ones included Anheuser-Bush, American Express, NASCAR, Sunglass Hut, and Avon.
Scott earned his BFA and MA in Graphic Design from The Savannah College of Art and Design. Other honors and accomplishments include a Certificate in the Leaders of Learning from Harvardx, The Dale Carnegie Golden Book Award, HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certification, Google Analytics certification, FTC Professional Development, Eagle Scout, and team member of the 2003 United States East Coast All-Star Team for the American Dart Organization. He is also a Rutgers Certified youth sports coach and has been a volunteer coach for softball and baseball, managing four all-star teams.
Scott has found great personal fulfillment as a teacher, mentor, leader, and coach. He has helped many professionals, peers, and college students prepare and advance their careers and lives. Scott dedicates himself to teaching others by passing on his experience and knowledge to help others succeed.
In 1991, Scott, a design school graduate, took to the big city to conquer the world of advertising. From the first day, he learned there was still a lot to learn, and with no real intent, he kept notes through the years about what he learned from others. As his career grew, Scott learned more than how to do his job; he discovered how to navigate the corporate environment and thrive in the fast-paced advertising world. When the opportunity came to manage others, he was well-positioned to pass on the knowledge he gained with his notes in hand. Teaching and mentoring others were something he enjoyed doing, and he gained great satisfaction in helping others.
Upon leaving the large corporate environment of the financial industry and having a wealth of experience managing and mentoring others, (as well as his notes), Scott desired to continue to help others gain the expertise needed to excel in their careers. He sat down and transcribed his notes into what became a series of lessons. Speaking with mentors of his own and gaining feedback from other professionals, Scott found a real need and desire for what he had created.
Founded in 2013, ScottCre8ive was the design and marketing company Scott created to service his long-standing, personal clients. With his experience in corporate team building and management and his talent for problem-solving, Scott transforms his business into a passion for helping others develop their lives and careers.
Today, ScottCre8ive continues to provide design and marketing solutions for his clients. GetAGoodStart.com was launched in January of 2021 and is the home for the blog, podcast, coaching, seminars, and soon-to-be-released online courses. The mission of “Get A Good Start” is to provide a competitive advantage to college students and those preparing to enter the corporate world by sharing insights and best practices from experienced professionals and helping them “Get A Good Start.”
